THE DAY BEFORE.

THE WEDDING DAY.

Buses will leave from Puerto Pollensa (TBC pick up location) for those staying there and will take you to the church in Pollensa.

Ceremony starts at 12.30pm.

Buses will take you from the church to the reception venue.

There will be buses back to Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa. One earlier in the night (TBC hour) and the last one will leave at 11.30pm.

For those who will be in Mallorca on Friday night, we would love to get together before the big day!

Where - Puerto Pollensa - TBC venue

When - Friday 11th of June - TBC hour

Dress Code - Casual beach dinner / Chiringuito

ACCOMMODATION.

Hotel discount codes to come once available. Use map as a reference if you want to book accommodation now.

We would recommend staying at Puerto Pollensa as this is where you’ll have the beach more accessible. However, Pollensa is only a 10 minute drive from Puerto Pollensa and it is where the ceremony will take place.

Other nice and close locations to stay would be Cala San Vicente or Alcudia / Puerto de Alcudia. You will need to get a taxi to and from Pollensa on the wedding day.

HOW TO GET TO POLLENSA.

You need to fly to Palma de Mallorca (PMI). Then you can either rent a car and drive all the way up to Pollensa, or go by bus and taxi.

CAR RENTAL - Rent a car at the airport. The drive up is super easy and straight forward. We find rentalcars a very good platform where you can compare different companies. In particular Record Go is a really good option for cheap cars in the airport terminal so you don’t have to get a shuttle bus.

BUS - You will need to get the bus A33. This bus goes straight from the airport to Alcudia. At the airport, go to arrivals and exit, cross the automatic walkway and the bus should be just to the left. Make sure you exit the bus in Alcudia Centre Historic. Then you can get a taxi to go to your accommodation.

WHAT TO DO IN MALLORCA.

We have put together some of our favourite things to do in Mallorca so you can enjoy the island the way we do!

Explore Mallorca and make the most out of your trip :)

You’ll find nice little towns to visit, restaurants, hikes and little beach coves (calas).

DRESS CODE.

SPANISH WEDDING TRADITIONS.

BOUQUETS.

Troughout the lunch, the bride and the groom hand a handful of bouquets to special people - the mums, grandmas, one special friend of each…

In Spain we don’t have a bridal party… instead we have witnesses. They sit in the front of the church and sign the book. There is a main witness who would play the role of a best man or maid of honour.

Girls’ dresscode is flexible, however, traditionally, the boys wear morning suits.

WITNESSES.

HATS.

When the wedding is during the day (like ours), girls can wear hats and headpieces. We love them!
By protocol, you should not remove it before the bride and groom’s first dance, however nowadays it is more flexible and some poeple take it off when they sit down for lunch if it’s uncomfortable.

WEDDING UNITY COINS (ARRAS).

Traditional, often Catholic, wedding ceremony custom in Spain, involving 13 coins that symbolise the sharing of material goods and the promise to care for one another. After being blessed, the groom and the bride present them to one another.
